Auto Features Expert publishes U.S.-market vehicle research about reliability, common problems, recalls, maintenance, ownership costs, specifications, and used-car buying decisions. Our current articles are researched and edited by Alex Fric under the documented standards below.
Alex Fric — Automotive Research Editor
Alex Fric is responsible for researching, organizing, writing, source-checking, and updating the current Auto Features Expert article library. The role focuses on turning official vehicle records and clearly identified owner-reported patterns into practical guidance for U.S. vehicle owners and used-car shoppers.
Editorial responsibilities
- Define the vehicle, generation, model year, engine, transmission, trim, and U.S. market scope before research begins.
- Check primary records, including manufacturer documentation, NHTSA recalls and investigations, Technical Service Bulletins, owner manuals, EPA data, and IIHS information where relevant.
- Separate confirmed facts, editorial analysis, and owner-reported patterns.
- Verify technical claims against a primary source whenever one is available.
- Use at least two current U.S. sources for repair-cost estimates and present costs as ranges rather than guarantees.
- Record the article’s publication date, update date, and last verified date.
- Correct material errors and document significant corrections.
Scope and limitations
Auto Features Expert does not present Alex Fric as a licensed mechanic, dealership technician, engineer, or representative of a vehicle manufacturer. The work is independent automotive research and editorial analysis. Vehicle condition varies by VIN, maintenance history, climate, modifications, and prior use; our content does not replace a professional diagnosis or pre-purchase inspection.
How articles are reviewed
Every article must pass the site’s source and editorial checklist before publication. The named author is responsible for the research and draft. A final human editorial approval is required before a draft is published. If a separate specialist or second reviewer participates, that person’s name and relevant role are shown on the article. We do not claim an independent technical review when one did not occur.
Use of AI-assisted tools
AI-assisted tools may support search-intent research, outline development, source organization, draft refinement, consistency checks, and internal-link suggestions. AI output is not accepted as evidence and is never cited as a factual source. Vehicle facts, dates, specifications, recalls, service information, and cost figures must be checked against the sources described in our Sources Policy. No AI-assisted draft is published without human editorial approval.
